This absurd and surreal Spoof on the phrase “I’m a Doctor” was written, directed and produced by me as an original experimental short. Currently in the editing room, more info to come!
My Directing, Writing, & Creative work.
Filmed with the help of several colleagues, my short documentary and promo followed Scenic Designer and Architect Benjamin David Olsen to several of his completed set designs throughout Minneapolis. We interviewed Benjamin at each location and in his studio to showcase his creativity and design philosophy.
While on staff at Lifetouch Media Productions I was given two scripts purchased by our communications department from Media Loft advertising agency and tasked with producing, filming and editing everything in-house for a debut during Lifetouch’s 80th Anniversary Celebration. After casting, hiring a crew, and securing a location everything went together great.
Capping off two years of an Associate of Science in Cinematography, “Audition” was my team’s final collaborative project. I took the reins both as Co-Cinematographer and the main Producer. Filmed at Northrup King Arts Building in Minneapolis, this moody psychological short film offered lots of opportunities to play with shadows and composition, as well as planning a complicated shoot.
Serving as the first of two short films required to graduate the Minneapolis Technical College Cinema Program, “The Devil’s Sonata” presented a challenge to me as both a Cinematographer and a Producer to pull off the old-world setting and shadowy surrealism. Filmed at one of Minneapolis’ old style Pillsbury mansions, our dark thriller turned out great!
